I know exactly what scene you were talking about from the care bears movie, I think that was the 1st movie w/ the 2 kids at the evil carnival or whatever. The green creepy face in the book mortally scared me as well especially the scene where it was yelling while they were trying to close the book and squish it....*shudder* Hope all is well w/ you, enjoy the rest of your week! -DKO

I was trying to msg u but that celeb advertisement was in the way! I saw P-chan's lil yellow bandana and pointy ears so I almost jumped out of excitement when I saw it.
I too thought that the Speed Racer movie was really close, all of the cast looked *exactly* like the anime characters as well as their parts they were playing, especially Spritle and Chim Chim. Somehow they got the monkey to 'fit' with the film, most of the time w/ an animal or a monkey in the movie it just shows them do like one thing. I really liked the fight scene when they were on the mountain it was so funny and retro! The music fit the moods and movie perfectly, the only thing I wasn't too fond of was the faces scrolling across the screen it made it looked too commercial-esque. I *do* want to go see it a second time, though.
    Have a great weekend!!

I liked the mountain fight scene quite a bit too. I remember when Sparky got a gun shoved into his face and stuck his hands up and I thought, "That's a gag from the show I think!" But I thought Matthew Fox was a very good Racer X too. I have to be honest, I was really shocked by how poorly it's done at the box office. I thought it would be a huge hit.

No for real! ^_^ Oh I tried to give you kudos but for some reason it won't let me click on 'kudos' on your profile. And I love David Bowie! I like the song he sang in Labyrinth "As the World Falls Down" and I like how they spoofed him in venture bros.

Yeah, "As The World Falls Down" is a favorite of mine too. I recently saw that film again after years, and it held up really well.
